Deshler JH boys will not be participating in today's JH BBB tournament in Nelson due to icy road conditions.
DPS Kindergarteners are teaming up with the 4th graders to earn some AR points and work towards their goals! The 4th graders read to the Kindergarteners and then helped them take their AR tests. When they were done, the Kindergarteners showed off their reading talents by reading to the 4th graders!
Advanced Algebra and Geometry students were challenged with sequence and pattern puzzles today in class as we discussed Mathematics around the world. Students used numbers, colors, and shapes to determine the solutions to the different puzzles.
Thanks to TeamMates, the READ grant, and Linked 2 Literacy for a book vending machine at Deshler Public Schools!

The DPS 4th graders had a little fun with a science/math experiment designed to determine how fast their brains react to something that they hear or see. They determined that their reactions can depend on a lot of things-environment, sounds, being overtired, ect.
These are our Character Kids for the month of January and for the word Perseverance! Congratulations to Serenity, Elle, Kaleb, Teddy, Riley, and Peighton on persevering and never giving up even when things were hard or challenging! February's word is honesty!
