Deshler boys’ basketball fell 23-47 to Red Cloud and received fourth in the boys’ TVC Tournament.
Down 15-39 headed into the final quarter, Deshler has some ground to make up against Red Cloud in the consolation match up.
Down 9-30 at half, the Dragons trail Red Cloud in the boys’ consolation game.
Trailing 4-19 at the end of the first quarter against Red Cloud, the Dragons are going to need to take control in the second.

Girls’ district wrestling update: freshman Carlee Hinz wrestled twice today and pinned both of her girls in day one of district wrestling.
Carlee is in the winners’ bracket going into day two. She has to win once tomorrow to be state bond…let’s go, Carlee!
Reminder: If your 4th-12th grade student would like to take part in the informational archery duel at Nelson on Monday, February 6th, please check out a bow/arrows today from Mr. Nash or Sarah Baden.
There won’t be anyone at the school on Monday to check out equipment from!

Senior Gracie Miller was admitted into the Careers Scholars Program at Wayne State College. She will be getting college credit while getting paid to work, ranging from $2500 to $15,000 each year, and gaining real-world paid experience in her career field! Congratulations, Gracie!

From students interviewing for FFA state degrees to NHS hosting a blood drive, our shortened day ended with an inservice covering our new 42” printer for poster making and vinyl banners, as well as staff becoming CPR certified.
