Everyday as part of our daily routine, we expose the students to handwriting. We use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to help children improve letter formation, fine motor coordination and spatial awareness. This method builds confidence and aligns with reading science by developing phonemic awareness.

We have started working on letter recognition, some students have mastered this while others are still learning. Letter recognition focuses on introducing and familiarizing children with the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase, and associating them with sounds and objects. This is a crucial step in early literacy development.

Today in preschool we worked on further developing our fine motor skills. It can be tough for children to peel stickers by themselves, but the repetition of peeling a sticker and putting it on paper leads to increased focus and concentration skills, while also strengthening those small muscles in the fingers.
