The school year is winding down and Mr. Staroscik's CNC class projects are coming to an end.
The project shown is a Machinist Hammer. The students built the hammer using the manual lathe and the CNC Milling Machine.
Using the CNC mill, students engraved their name!

The junior high track team attended the State Track Meet in Gothenburg on May 11th, and the athletes came back with several medal winners, including:
3200 M Relay: Received 2nd place with a time of 9:17, consisting of Rigley McDonald, Dean Baden, Xavier Pierce & Quincy Orme. All runners PRed their time & beat their previous record by 19 seconds!
1600 M Relay: Received 6th place and PRed as well with a time of 3:51.54. Those on the team were Rigley McDonald, Dean Baden, Jackson Beam, and Quincy Orme.
Discus: Brayden Gausman received 7th place and PRed with a throw of 134’4”.
High Jump: Teagan Webber PRed and received 9th place, jumping 4’11”.
200 M Hurdles: Teagan Webber placed 22nd with a time of 33.04.
200 M Hurdles: Jackson Beam placed 18th with a time of 29.37.
400 M Run: Quincy Orme placed 16th with a time of 57.12.
800 M Run: Rigley McDonald received 23rd with a time of 2:19.23.
The boys’ junior high team had a phenomenal year, winning every track meet they were in this year up until state! Way to go, Young Dragons!

JH State Track Meet Update:
Boys' 4x400 got 6th and pr’d;
Brayden Gausman got 7th and PR’d at 134’4 in discus; and
Teagan Webber pr’d in high jump but didn’t place.
Way to go, Dragons!

JH State Track Meet update..the 4x8 relay finished second! They beat their PR by 19 seconds and all pr’d their split!
Quincy Orme took the team from 7th place to 2nd place...way to run, Dragons!

Good luck to the Golf Team competing at Districts on Monday! The golf meet is at Indian Head Golf Course in Grand Island at 9:00am!


We completed our Kindergarten transition visits this week. For this last visit we were able to have lunch in the lunchroom. Pizza was on the menu and it was a hit! Thank you to the cooks for accommodating a few extra kids, we appreciated it!



4th graders are having fun wrapping up their year with book projects and math reviews!

With a time of 41.95, Austyn Lindenmuth has qualified for state in the 300 M Hurdles with his second place finish at districts. Way to go, Austyn!


With a throw of 140' 6" in the discus, we have ANOTHER state qualifier and district champion: Carson Sieber!

Unofficially running a 1:01.73, Jacilyne Peterson has made it to state in her second event -- the 400 M Dash!

She did it again! Brooke Sasse has now qualified in the shot with a first place throw of 37' 0.5" - way to represent, Brooke!
This girl is headed to Burke in BOTH shot and discus! No photo of her throwing shot - sorry!


Third Grade Artists enjoyed weaving outside today for one of their last art rotations of the school year. We learned about the different steps of the weaving process, then made our own looms out of paper plates, tempera paint, colored yarn and beads. We can't wait to see the finished product!
