The DPS speech team opened their season strong Saturday at the Thayer Central Invite!
Results: Makenna Freitag-1st (Novice Entertainment) and 6th (Novice Informative), Logan Schmidt-1st (Novice Humorous), Danica O'Neal-1st (Novice Poetry), and Jocelyn Berggren & Jordan LeFave-2nd (Novice Duet Acting). Next Saturday they will travel to Wilber.

Interested in desks and chairs that DPS has excess of? Make a donation by THIS WEEK!
On February 1st, all leftover items will be donated to the Orphan Grain Train, a Christian mission organization which distributes goods such as this where needed throughout the US and abroad.
If you would like to look at these items, please contact Mr. Finley or Mrs. Epley at one of the home HS BB games on Tuesday or Thursday night of this week.

We had a blast in 3rd grade celebrating the 100th day of school with 100 second minute to win it games!
💯 days of school & some outstanding behavior earned these kids some time to have Popcorn with the Principal -- and smoothies too -- thanks to Mrs. Kane!
The guidance word of the month was EMPATHY and these 6 kids have done an outstanding job showing that every day!

JH BBB practice won't start until 8 am on TUE, JAN 21ST.
Reminder: Students shouldn't arrive until 7:30 am AND should either ride the bus home, be picked up or report to ASP at 3:30 PM. We have no student supervision prior to 7:30 am or after 3:30 pm if not in practice or ASP!
Today we used shaving cream to write letters. Playing with shaving cream can help preschoolers develop one motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and cognitive skills.
A big thank you to LONNIE & LINDSEY BILTOFT for stepping up to the plate & donating a beef for January 21st! We have our final appointment of the year with McLean Beef on March 11th.

We have started Kindergarten transitions! Today 7 preschool students had the opportunity to visit the Kindergarten classroom. The morning preschoolers were able to do phonics and play in centers. The afternoon preschool students did a Social Studies activity about Martin Luther King Jr. They also enjoyed centers.
