The speech team's season came to an end at Districts. This team brought home SEVERAL medals in '22, with Danessa making finals at Districts & ending with 6th place. We are hosting "speech night" on Mon, 3/14 at 6 PM in Mrs. Parks' room so that you can see their talents!


The 22-23 school calendar has been approved! It is hard to believe that we are working on next year's schedule/calendar already, but 3rd quarter ends next Thu. If your child has late or missing work, please make sure it is handed in by then or they stay for ASP (Mon - Wed).


Summer and softball/baseball are only two months away! Turn your form in by Monday, March 14th!


Yesterday our guest reader was Dr. McDonald. We enjoyed having him visit our classroom. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read to us! We appreciated it!



Thank you to Coach Nash and the LN archery coaches for tonight - teaching these kids how a true archery meet is ran! State is on March 19th at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln (times are TBD), and our students competing should wear their archery shirts. Great job tonight!





Thanks to a grant from EducationQuest, our 8th graders will be visiting CCC and Hastings College campuses on Mar 15th. All costs, including the meal, will be covered. Congratulations, 8th graders! We plan to take the 7th graders on a visit to SCC-Lincoln and UNL as well!

You don’t want to miss it…Deshler’s first archery meet is in Nelson TOMORROW night (3/3) with 4th-6th to begin shooting at 5:30, JH at 6:15 and HS at 7 PM. Make sure to show up 15 minutes prior to your shooting time AND wear your archery shirt!





Congratulations to seniors Avery Eitzmann and Jayden Isernhagen who are earning their FFA State Degrees at this year’s convention. This is Deshler’s 2nd year of having state degree recipients. It takes 2 years of SAE records, numerous hours and passing the state assessment!


Today our special reader was, Mr. Brad! He read the silly book, Green Eggs and Ham to us. This book was first published on August 12, 1960 and has sold 8 million copies worldwide! Thank you for spending some time with us today, Brad!

We kicked off Dr. Seuss week yesterday with a guest reader! Sarah Baden read us the book, What Was I Scared Of? It's a spooky and silly story about facing your fears! Thank you for taking time out of your day to read to us, Sarah!
