During our Heggerty Phonics, students work on learning letters and letter sounds. We do actions that are associated with the letter. In this picture the students are doing a crab walk for the letter C. Crab walks are a great activity to help develop coordination and total body strength.

Empathy was today's lesson with the eighth graders in guidance. We are working hard to strengthen our social and emotional skillset amongst our students.
Yesterday was also the first official FCA meeting for our 7th-12th grade students. If you missed the meeting and still want to order an FCA shirt, attend Fields of Faith on October 11th, or be a Huddle leader, please let Mrs. McDonald know TODAY!

DPS COMMON EXPECTATIONS have been developed for our students in all areas.
As a reminder for our activities/events, our 7th-12th grade students should sit in the STUDENT SECTION & cheer on our teams while the younger students should be seated with families, keeping trips in/out of the gym/bleachers to a minimum so that others can see/enjoy the game.
We host our first VB game on Monday for JH, and we want to remind our students that they should only be in the gym or the concession stand (noted as our "game areas" on the expectations chart), and that the hallways and classrooms are OFF LIMITS during our home events.
Final reminder: pink out shirts will be ordered tomorrow morning (as well as the chapter FCA shirts), AND that tonight's VB game is in LAWRENCE (not Nelson!).
