We practice handwriting as part of our every day routine at preschool. Gripping the pencil strengthens the muscles in the hand and fingers while forming letters, shapes, lines and numbers improves control over the small muscles and creates a stronger bond between the brain and the hands.

Yesterday at the Assisted Living, we painted rocks for the residents! Some of the benefits of rock painting include teaching the concept of "sharing is caring". By painting rocks we are supporting their creative outlets, improving our fine muscle motor control and strengthening eye-hand motor coordination.

Good luck to our JH athletes today in our home meet! Go Dragons!
