Homecoming festivities for Deshler Public Schools are quickly approaching! The Dragons will play Diller-Odell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9th. The coronation of a new king and queen will immediately follow the game on the football field. We are expecting last year’s queen and king to return and pass over the reign to the new royalty. The 2021 Homecoming royalty was Paiton Nash and Jayden Isernhagen. After the coronation, a school dance is planned at the 4-H building at the fairgrounds with a live D.J starting at 9 p.m.
The volleyball team also has home games on this week: Tue., Sep. 6th and Thu., Sep. 8th, and a Patriot Day Program on Fri., Sep. 9th.
DPS asks that you join us that week for the festivities. The cheerleaders and their sponsors, Jami O’Neal and Laura Tuma, are planning to have a parade at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 9th, with a pep rally to follow. The public is invited to enter floats in the parade by contacting the school or Mrs. Epley at dana.epley@deshlerdragons.org. The elementary students will be in the parade as well, so we hope you can make it out and attend this event.

- Tuesday: Adam Sandler Day
- Wednesday: Bikers v Surfers (Team Beach Movie)
- Thursday: Disco Cowboy
- Friday: Purple Pride Day
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will also be selling "rally towels" for the VB and FB games on this Thursday and Friday, donating personalized rally towels to our high school VB team. Buy a towel & help our teams rally up a couple of wins during Homecoming week!
