We are excited to welcome Emma Henderson to our DPS staff! Henderson will graduate in May with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She will be co-teaching fourth grade and meeting special education needs giving Mrs. O'Neal more time to fulfill her Curriculum Director needs, as well as testing coordinator and PowerSchool guru.
Henderson graduated high school from Superior and is currently student teaching at Fairbury. With family in Superior, she is excited to be "close to home" as the oldest of three. Her brother is 20 years old and her sister is 16 years old, as well as her parents and her yellow lab named Chevy.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being involved in her community, and hanging out with her dogs. She also loves anything that allows her to be outdoors -- such as golfing and attending her sister’s sporting events.
Henderson stated that she is excited for her position in Deshler because she is ready to be back in a small-town community after living in the big city. She is especially looking forward to having her own classroom, building meaningful relationships with her students, and making a positive difference in each of their lives each day.
We are so happy to have you here, Ms. Henderson! Welcome to Deshler!
