What is new this year for Prom?

  • ONE promenade...students will come through the SOUTH doors, drive up & each student & their date will pull up with parents moving the car to be parked.

  • Red carpet runner for the walkway for our Viva Las Vegas theme!

  • Students & their dates will be announced as they enter the building (just one introduction)...same list/order for announcements as the valet lineup.

  • Students will exit their vehicle, walk through the south door, go through the Legion room & into the large room & then into the 4-H room, where the crowning will take place. Students can stay with their dates during this entire time.

What will stay the same this year?

  • Art Whitton will take Promenade pictures again this year

  • Brooke Bauer will take the formal pictures inside.

  • 4:00 PM – Visit the nursing home & assisted living

  • 4:30 PM – Activity Building doors open for early photos & viewing decorations

  • 5:00 PM – Promenade / Grand Entrance / Valet Parking (students announced, red carpet optional)

  • 5:45 PM – Coronation Ceremony, clear out the building

  • 6:00 PM – Prayer & Dinner

  • 6:15 PM – Guest Speaker – Mr. Thomas, including the

    Senior Wills & Prophecy Readings

  • 7:00 PM – Group & Individual Photos; servers clean up dinner

  • 7:30 PM – Dancing begins

  • 11:00 PM – Last dance & thank-yous

  • 11:15 PM – Post-prom begins, sponsored by the parents, not the school.

REMINDER: Once you are in the activities center, you won't be allowed to leave, to go to your car, etc. AND don't forget that you must be academically eligible to attend Prom & all out-of-school dates must have the permission form turned in prior to Fri., Mar. 20th.
