Logan Lowery

Logan Lowery, a DPS senior and one of our high ability learners, has been interning this year at Reinke Manufacturing in the manufacturing/engineering department. His placement is part of our on-the-job training program where students are aligned to work in a career field of their interest.

Logan's work experience and training has recently culminated with his passing of the Certified SolidWorks Associate Exam. SolidWorks is a 3-D modeling software used to design, modify and assemble parts virtually. It is used by the engineering staff at Reinke Manufacturing on a daily basis, and our eighth grade students are also taught the software as part of our career exploratory rotations at DPS.

Lowery's SolidWorks certification is recognized worldwide and will be extremely valuable to Logan and Reinke Manufacturing as he continues his on-the-job training there.

Lowery plans to enter college this fall and major in engineering. He is the son of Robert and Kristina Lowery. Robert is a fabrication lead in the Hillcrest Fabrication Department. Kristina is a social services worker with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services – Economic Assistance & Eligibility Operations.

Congratulations to Logan, from both Reinke Manufacturing and DPS, and keep up the good work!
