* Parents should be alert to any signs of fever and any other signs of influenza-like illness such as sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, chills, and body aches, before sending their child or children to school, and contact the School if students are ill are going to be absent.

*The Center for Disease Control recommends students with influenza-like illness remain at home until at least 24 hours after they are free of fever (100° F [37.8° C] or greater), or signs of a fever, without the use of fever-reducing medications.

*Wash hands with soap and water frequently or with alcohol based hand cleaners.

*To cover their mouth with a tissue or their elbow to when coughing or sneezing.

*Students who are well but who have an ill family member at home with influenza can go to school as usual.  However, parents should monitor their child's health every day, and notify the school and stay home if they become ill.
